Ann Poulsen has
been in touch with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and visited their
Kiplingcotes reserve with Karen Davies to see whether it would be suitable
for ponies and whether they could help with the control of strong growing
grasses there, which at present are cut mechanically in places. It is
hoped that feedback from, and visits to, similar reserves belonging to
English Nature, the National Trust and other Wildlife Trusts will enable a
pilot scheme to be set up. Bishop Burton Agricultural College have a
possible interest in any development in East Yorkshire.
